Located in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, a previously underutilized lot at the corner of Rogers Ave and Sheridan Road is being transformed to bring 44 affordable housing units into the community. The zig-zagging facade maximizes the view towards Lake Michigan and enhances the connection between indoor living spaces and the surrounding context.

The design keeps both residents and the neighborhood in mind as the building will include ground-floor spaces dedicated to commercial and community-serving uses, helping to activate the street and foster local engagement. In addition, a rooftop amenity space will offer residents access to outdoor gathering and recreational areas, further strengthening the sense of community within the building while providing expansive views of the neighborhood and the lake beyond.
